A question that mothers and young girls often wonder about is: when and at what age do girls start menstruating?
In fact, menstruation is a sign of the transition from childhood to adolescence, the beginning of fertility.
So, what symptoms can tell us that menstruation is about to begin, that it's approaching, and that reproductive functions are gradually preparing?
The first symptom usually begins with breast development, approximately 2-3 years before menstruation. Hair growth occurs in the armpit and pubic areas. The first menstrual period generally begins between the ages of 12 and 13.
Once breast development begins, you can prepare your daughters for menstruation.
When menstruation begins, it may not be regular for the first 3-5 years.
