2 Alarm Fire 220 Calyer Street Brooklyn 2 alarm fire 07 19 2024 @ 318 pm TNS
At approximately 3:18 PM FDNY received a call for a fire at 220 Calyer Street. Units arrived on scene within two minutes. Upon arrival, units encountered heavy fire throughout the entire first and second floor, with heavy smoke conditions in the building both on the left and the right. Units had a tough time making an entry because security measures on the first floor. Eventually the fire went to two alarms,” said Deputy Chief Stephen Corcoran at the scene of Friday’s 2-alarm fire in Brooklyn.
A total of 25 units and 106 Fire and EMS personnel were on scene.
There are three minor injuries to firefighters and one minor injury to a civilian. FDNY Fire Marshals will investigate the cause.
