Respiratory Care Week Celebration: 28/10/2022
On 28/10/2022, BGS Global Institute of Allied Health Sciences- Bangalore and IARC Bangalore Region Jointly Organized " Eupnea 22" Respiratory Care Week Celebration at BGS Medical College. The program was inagurated by Dean Cum Principal Dr. M.E Mohan BGSGIMS, in the presence of Dr. Manjunath Principal BGSGIAS, Dr. Shrikanth Kulkarni Medical Superintendent, Dr. Harshavardhan Dept of Pulmonology, Dr. Balachandra HOD Dept of Medicine, Dr. Yatheesh Head Critical Care Unit, Dr Gowrishankar, Head Critical Care Unit 2, from BGS Gleangles Global hospital, and Ms. Salma Senior Pediatric Respiratory Therapist, Narayana Hrudayalaya, representing IARC.

RTs from both hospitals, Students of Respiratory Therapy attended the event. The students participated actively with great enthusiasm under Ms Reshmi ( Tutor at BGS). As part of the Program Poster Competition and drawing competition were held which was very informative and the judges and audience were impressed with the presentation. Students also made eye-catching modules and outstanding videos to show the role of Respiratory Therapists.
Dignitaries including Dean addressed the gathering and expressed their thoughts and highly appreciated the Respiratory Profession and students and faculties. Ms. Salma represented IARC and delivered a speech about the Scope of RTs beyond the ICU, the Benefits of joining IARC, the Importance of RTs, the Courses available so on. Students also entertained the audience with mesmerizing music.
