If you want to add Bluetooth to your audio
equipment, then a wireless Bluetooth receiver or transmitter is a great solution. When it comes to if a transmitter or receiver is best for your application, it will depend on which way you need the signal to send. Luckily, some devices have a dual operation, which means they have both a transmitter and receiver mode.

What is the difference between a Bluetooth transmitter and a receiver?
A Bluetooth audio transmitter is used to connect a non-Bluetooth device with a Bluetooth-enabled device. For example, you can connect a transmitter to send the audio signal from a record player and transmit it over to a Bluetooth enable mixer.

A Bluetooth audio receiver is used to do the opposite, connect a Bluetooth-enabled device to a non-Bluetooth device. For example, you can plug a receiver into your mixer or commercial amplifier, and then Bluetooth from your device (phone, tablet, laptop, etc.) to the mixer/amplifier and stream music into your sound system.
