We all want to feel our best and find ways to improve our health!

But it's easy to get swept up in the latest health trends, especially when they're promoted by influencers and celebrities.

I'm all for seeking out innovative ways to improve our well-being, but it's crucial to approach health protocols with a healthy dose of skepticism and critical thinking.

Here are five questions to ask yourself BEFORE embarking on any new health protocol:

1️⃣ Who's Behind It? Credentials matter! What are the qualifications and expertise of the person promoting this protocol? Beware of those making claims outside their scope of practice or those with a clear financial interest in promoting a particular product or approach.

2️⃣ Evidence-Based? Does research support it? Look for credible scientific studies, preferably those with controlled groups and peer-reviewed publication. Be wary of protocols based solely on anecdotal evidence or testimonials.

3️⃣ What's the Cost? Time, money, and risks! Consider not just the financial costs, but also the time and effort required to follow the protocol. Is it financially and logistically feasible for you? And are there any potential risks or side effects associated with the protocol?

4️⃣ Does My Doctor Agree? Collaborate with your team. Before making significant changes to your diet, lifestyle, or medical regimen, talk to your healthcare provider. They can help assess the potential benefits and risks of the protocol and ensure that it aligns with your individual needs and health goals.

5️⃣ Is It Sustainable? Can you stick with it? The most effective health strategies are those that you can integrate into your life long-term. Choose protocols that are practical, enjoyable, and adaptable to your lifestyle.

Remember, your health is a journey, not a destination. Choose a path that's based on evidence, aligns with your values, and supports your well-being!
