On August 2, 2023, Mikhail Alferov was summoned to the Investigative Committee for the Kirovsky District of Kemerovo. More than a month earlier, Mikhail had filed a motion to conduct an investigative experiment to test the equipment seized during the search for the possibility of publishing the video imputed to him and to conduct an interrogation at his own request. No one had called or written for a long time, and then suddenly Investigator Baranova appeared, urgently demanding yet another trumped-up charge under Article 282 of the criminal case after its return on March 15, 2023. The investigator's behavior clearly and distinctly reveals haste and tension. We understand that the intensification of Alferov's repression is connected to his active participation in Alexei Fedorov's defense, even under circumstances where Mikhail is simply not allowed into court.
