How to fix a Lasko rotating heater motor

The rotating motor broke on my Lasko heater that I've had since 2007. Usually when things break it's a moving part, a switch, or a fuse. I first checked the switch with a multimeter to make sure that it worked (turned off an on). The motor was too hard to test, so I just took a guess that it was the problem and bought a replacement part and took my chances. Turns out I was right, and now my heater's working again!
