“Life tests us in two situations—in our successes and our failures. How humble we are when successful and how consistent we are in our efforts after failure is a true reflection of our character. If success makes us arrogant, then that success is actually a failure…’

With a desire to serve the lord and humanity, Gauranga Darshan Das gave up an illustrious corporate career and took up the order of monkhood in 2009. Having received training at ISKCON and being actively involved in designing courses on the traditional Bhakti literatures, he is on a mission to take the teachings of the Bhagavad Geeta to the masses.

From authoring over 30 books to delivering over 7000 hours of spiritual discourse and from being a TEDx speaker to a teacher, Gauranga Darshan Das aims to unlock, share, and explore scriptural wisdom with the modern world.

Delve into a conversation as enriching as it is spiritual. Gauranga Darshan Das talks to us about everything—from his journey from science to spirituality to why he chose the ‘monk life’, from his thoughts on Krishna to the concept of Karma, and lots more. The conversation is also sprinkled with wisdom on success, failure, and the art of communication amongst several other topics.

About Humans of Bombay –
Humans of Bombay is a movement that started 9 years ago. We believe that every person has a story to tell and we want to help them tell these stories. In these years we’ve published stories across genres – stories of love, hope, faith, and courage. And through our storytelling, we’ve built an engaged community of over 5M!

Our idea is simple – to strike a chord with our community and catalog the beat of humanity, one story at a time.
