Four pellet gun attacks in Hillcrest, police looking for suspect
The San Diego Police Department is investigating another series of drive-by pellet gun shootings in the Hillcrest neighborhood.
Police are looking into four documented attacks at three bars on University Avenue over the past week. There were at least four victims, and they were not seriously injured. Police are investigating all four incidents as hate crimes.
The attacks spanned September 2 to September 8. According to police, the incidents happened along University Avenue from 3rd Avenue to 10th Avenue. The most recent incident happened around 2 a.m. Sunday.
Police said the suspects were last seen driving a light-colored minivan.
