Lubricant behaviour during gear rotation
An experiment to see how lubricating oil enters the meshing area during gear rotation.The oil is coloured red for easy visualisation.If the gear is rotating fast, it is blown off the gear surface. if it is rotating slow, it goes in. Observing the behaviour of the lubricating oil is useful for gear research and development.
