Web browsers use some security mechanisms to store the data of users. These are Local Storage, Session Storage, and Cookies.
Cookie security is one of the most important part of session management. Also if the application didn't configure properly, attackers may able to detect XSS vulnerability on localStorage or sessionStorage functionalities of JavaScript.
