RECOGNIZING A PALESTINIAN STATE
This week, Britain, Canada, Australia, and Portugal recognized the State of Palestine, joining France and UK. President Macron explained that Palestinian statehood recognition was meant to weaken Hamas, not reward violence. “We don’t recognize Palestine to rewarding violence. We do it to create a political horizon, especially for those who reject Hamas,” Macron said in an interview.
