OBS Studio: Monitor Sounds Not Working and a Possible Fix: Check File Integrity
Occasionally, enabling the monitor output in OBS Studio to listen to sounds from a source may cease functioning if a data file becomes corrupted. Instead of immediately backing up your scenes and settings and reinstalling OBS, consider this solution: Check File Integrity.
I suggest doing this whenever you experience something out of the ordinary when using OBS and before you go to the extreme of reinstalling OBS Studio (and risk losing your scenes and settings if you haven't backed those up properly.)
