These models, often called “stochastic parrots,” predict words based on patterns, not logic. So, while they might get an equation right by chance, they can’t truly reason through a problem. They're designed for language, not precision. The dream of creating AI with human-like reasoning is still far off, especially in math, where AI is prone to hallucinations—making confident errors without realizing it!
