FL STUDIO - FREQUENCY SHIFTER Tutorial - New Image-Line frequency shifting plugin
With FL Studio version 20.8.4, Image-line introduced some new plugins: Pitch Shifter, Soundfont Player, Tuner, Vintage Chorus, VFX Enveloper, and Frequency Shifter.
Let's explore the magic it can do with Frequency Shifter.
What is a frequency shifter? Each note corresponds to a frequency.
If we use a pitch shifter to modify sounds, we get the same effect as raising or lowering those notes on the piano roll.
If, on the other hand, we use a frequency pitcher, the distance between the notes on the piano roll will also change. This is because the arrangement of the notes on the frequency spectrum is not proportional as on our keyboard.
The plugin controls: we have the frequency control; we can define the intervention in kHz, Hz, and in time with the project; we can select normal, high-quality, or ring modulation modes, even with sidechain. Then there are the sideband controllers; The phase to use in Tempo mode, and the management of Feedback, Mix, and Stereo. Each parameter can be automated.
A very useful plugin for Lo Fi music, dance music, and sound design.
