It is worth noting that your widest and narrowest aperture limits are also determined by what type of lens you have, as the lens is readily built into the Canon G7X Mark ii aperture is limited to f/11 at the narrowest aperture and f/1.8 at the widest aperture.
Understanding aperture and why aperture is important is key to creative photography as it enables you more creative power of how you wish to make a picture look, it can also give you the power to control the light creatively in different lighting conditions.
