It’s the end of an era for a renowned Las Vegas hotel that has been a favorite for VIP members J.R. and Paul Ramos for over 17 years. The Mirage Hotel and Casino, located on the Las Vegas Strip, has officially closed its doors after 34 years in business. Following this closure, the 3,000-room resort will undergo a three-year renovation to remove any remnants of the Mirage and its tropical theme. It is set to reopen in 2027 as Hard Rock Las Vegas, featuring a striking 700-foot-tall hotel tower shaped like a guitar, similar to its counterpart in Florida. The iconic volcano will be demolished to make way for new hotel rooms. The transformation from Mirage to Hard Rock will significantly alter the Las Vegas skyline, as the new 700-foot guitar tower is constructed on the property, mirroring the design of the Hard Rock Hotel in Hollywood, Florida.
