National Heroes Day: Honoring the Brave Filipinos Then and Now 🇵🇭
Every last Monday of August, Filipinos celebrate National Heroes Day to honor those who fought and sacrificed for our freedom. From Jose Rizal and Andres Bonifacio to Gabriela Silang, Apolinario Mabini, and countless unsung heroes, their courage shaped our nation.
But heroism did not end in history. Today, we also recognize modern heroes—OFWs, teachers, frontliners, soldiers, and ordinary Filipinos who serve others with bravery and love.
National Heroes Day reminds us that heroism is not only about the past—it lives on in every Filipino who chooses to stand for what is right. 🇵🇭
