HIT Lab NZ: Install of the Eight360 Motion Platform
This video shows the 2-day install process for our new Nova Motion Platform from NZ company Eight360 (https://www.eight360.com/). The unit provides a self-contained VR system inside the sphere, and unencumbered 360-degree rotation around both axes. Various control mechanisms can be used, such as a steering wheel, flight stick, etc.
A big shout out to the folks in UC Mechanical Engineering, who (literally!) took care of the heavy lifting to make this possible.
