Original 1964 Vox AC-10 may surprise you
I'm playing a wonderful 1964 Vox AC-10 2X10 (Alnicos) combo using a 2008 Gibson Les Paul CS 1959 Reissue and a 2021 Fender Telecaster 60 CS Relic. I'm using an Electrovoice Re-10 close mic (the MD421 is inactive here) and a 2008 AKG C414BXLII room mic.
This one sounds very different (bigger) than earlier AC-10s I've demoed here on the channel:
