Students Perform High-altitude Balloon Experiments
Physics and engineering students from the University of Central Lancashire (UCLan) sent a high-altitude balloon 100,000 ft above the surface of the Earth into near space! 🌎🎈
High-altitude balloons are used for many research purposes, with one of the student experiments investigating cosmic rays, which are high energy particles that flow into our solar system from outer space 🚀
