WESTWOOD, Ohio (WKRC) - A woman was found dead in her Westwood home Monday and police say her son is a suspect in her murder.

Police were called to the woman's home on East Tower Drive Thursday for a welfare check. They found Tracy Epperson, 52, dead.

According to court papers, there were signs of a struggle. They believe Epperson was suffocated.

A deputy from Tipton County, Indiana found a car parked on a rural road. Elijah Roberts, 21, was inside the car. The deputy said Roberts gave him a fake name. The deputy then ran the car's license plate. It came back to Epperson.

The deputy called Cincinnati Police to do the welfare check. That's when Epperson was found dead.

Roberts was taken into custody. He's been charged with murder.

An extradition hearing has already been held. Roberts waived extradition. No word when he'll be back in Hamilton County to appear in court.
