From dirt poor to creating WhatsApp
Jan Koum is the co-founder of WhatsApp, one of the most popular messaging apps in the world. But his story is not one of overnight success. Koum came from a poor family in Ukraine and immigrated to the United States with his mother when he was 16 years old. He didn't speak English and had to work odd jobs to support himself.
