Laura Branigan - Band Intro & Forever Young Encore [cc] - Final Band Concert - Jan. 2004
On January 11, 2004, Laura brilliantly and touchingly performed, unbeknownst to all, her very last concert with her band at the Cabaret Theater at Mohegan Sun Casino in Uncasville, CT. This show completed her 5-day run at the Cabaret. Here's Laura performing her go-to encore song and fan favorite "Forever Young," from her 1985 album HOLD ME.
Before she began, Laura introduced her FABULOUS band one last time, and each bandmember had an opportunity to showcase their talent, and that they did! She followed with additional mentions and thanks to various personnel. Next, Laura addressed her audience and stated, " I want to thank you so much, you're just a wonderful audience," and then very poignantly given that she had no idea at that time it would be her very last performance with her band, she said to the crowd, "You made my last night very special".
Laura then began to sing "Forever Young", during which she encouraged people to sing along, as she always liked to do with the song, which they gladly did. Towards the end of the song, Laura said goodnight and thanked the crowd multiple times and shook hands of audience members from the stage. Then, before blowing a kiss, Laura lovingly proclaimed to everyone, "I wish I could take you with me!". Laura graciously departed the stage with an "I love you", not knowing that it would be the last time she would do so after performing with her band.

Sadly, Laura performed only two more shows in 2004 - the WKTU Disco Ball in Atlantic City, NJ on May 15 and the Italia Unita Festival in Boston, MA on July 16 - before her passing on August 26.
We all love and miss you immensely, Laura. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for all you gave so many of us around the world, and still do, through your artistry and legacy.❤️🌹🍀
