Smooth stone generators are normally slow and unreliable, but after many failed attepts i finally came up with two neat designs, one is particularly compact, the other one is pretty fast.
So, can those be viable replacements for cobblestone generators?
Not really, even combining four of the fast ones, the amount of mined blocks per minute is not much better than my Fast Cobblestone Generator v2.0, but can be useful if you wish to erect auto repairing walls or bridges.
