The final flight of my SIG 1:4 Clipped Wing Cub
After 18 months building, she flew 3 times. The third and final flight was and will be a mystery - Did I stall? Pilot error? Was there a mechanical fault? I don't feel like these were the cause, but we will never know.
Something that is evident in the video is that there is construction work going on for a sporting event in the field; there's a large scaffold structure. When i was over the top of this i lost control and spiralled into it.
The footage looks as though I may have stalled, but i was on half throttle, plenty to get through a turn.
RIP Clipped Wing Cub.
