VEX V5 Robotics Competition High Stakes is a game where two alliances compete to score more points than the other:
Field: A 12' x 12' square field with a ladder, stakes, mobile goals, and rings
Alliances: Two alliances, one red and one blue, each made up of two teams
Objective: Score more points than the opposing alliance by scoring rings on stakes, placing mobile goals, and climbing the ladder
Scoring: Each ring scored on a stake is worth one point, and the top ring on each stake is worth three points
Mobile goals: Hexagonal scoring objects with a maximum diameter of 10 inches and an overall height of 14.5 inches
Ladder: Located in the center of the field, with three levels and one high stake
Match: Consists of a 15-second autonomous period followed by a 1 minute and 45-second driver controlled period
Rules: Rings can only be counted for points once, and you cannot touch scored rings or mobile goals in the positive corners during the last 15 seconds of the match
