Dashcam: 55 MPH Rear-End Near Miss
2021-07-01 - EHC-7319 Celestite Gray Metallic Toyota Crolla - Driver in a car looking at their cell phone, nearly rear-ends me going about 55-60. ABS allows them to swerve into the empty lane to my left, and thankfully totally miss me. They then sail through the intersection fleeing in embarrassment.
I see them coming, and I think to juke towards the right, but realize I have no time because of their speed, and then physically brace for impact instead. Thankfully, the Crolla has a great antilock system, and the distracted driver was able to avoid me entirely.
