At first sight, the apartment looked like the pictures, we were happy with it.
The problems started on the 2nd day of our stay when my wife noticed many, ~30-40 stings on her body, and her skin burned and itched.
She suspected bed bugs, so we lifted the mattress and found many bugs and bug shell remains and holes on it! We were shocked, our holiday had been ruined. We reserved another hotel immediately and left.
I wrote to the host asking for a refund, and the co-host replied regretfully and asked us to wait one day if the owner approves our refund request. They also claimed they took pest control steps in the apt. before, as it turned out it wasn't true or enough.
One day later the owner denied our refund request, he only wanted to give us 50% back so I had to raise the case to Airbnb support, and they refunded us 100%.
