When they arrive on the market, the A versions of the Pixels always make little sense because they are offered, with inferior technical and build features, at an official price very similar to the street price of the standard versions, a price that naturally dropped in the months following launch. This was also true for the Pixel 8a: launched on the market at €549, it immediately clashed with the Pixel 8, which was selling for the same price.
At launch, therefore, it made no sense to buy a Pixel 8a, but after a few months, the price dropped and now you can buy it for €449, its lowest price ever.
At its current price, it finally makes sense, and for this very reason, I wanted to spend my summer using the Pixel 8a, taking it with me to work, on vacation in Austria and Bavaria, and using it as my main smartphone during the hot August days.
