Learn from the past. Retrospect!
Sit down and retrospect after finishing a task or project. Evaluate what went exceptionally well, and why it went well. What can you do to repeat it? But also look at what could have gone better, and what you can do to prevent making the same mistakes again. Be sure to write down your findings and make them easily accessible for future reference. This is not only important for individuals but certainly also for teams.
