UPDATE: I played around with the setup and got the dish aligned with the tower nicely now. I tested the speed and I now get the following: Ping 15ms, Download 28Mbps and Upload 7Mbps. Signal measurements are also better now: RSRQ -10.0dB, RSRP -84dBm, RSSI -57dBm and SINR 6dB. The dish is producing around 25dB signal gain. Absolutely incredible results!

Here I take you through a step by step method of converting an unused satellite dish into a high gain 4G LTE antenna.
I recently noticed a severe drop in signal strength on my 4G LTE router and I was experiencing drop-outs and major latency issues.
I observed that my neighbor had installed a microwave dish on his roof and it is pointing directly over my house.
I suspected that his microwave equipment was causing issues with the signal quality of my router and resorted to building a high-gain 4G LTE antenna.
I used an external 4G LTE antenna mounted to an unused satellite dish, there results I obtained where very good and it solved my problem.
