So I just found out about one of the SCP Foundation's groups of interest called the Parawatch Wiki. This is basically 4chan meets creepypastas and the way they give another flavor to the entire SCP lore is amazing. Interestingly, there's barely any content in Youtube aboutu the Parawatch Wiki, so I went for it. For the first time, I decided to try out a retro 80s aesthetic documentary for this one. Enjoy!
What is the Parawatch Wiki?
The Parawatch Wiki is an online web forum of conspiracy theorists, paranormal enthusiasts, and amateur writers, operating with the intent of investigating and exposing anomalous phenomena. Geographically the group is disparate, its users primarily hailing from North America and Europe. No common background exists — age, careers, and other demographics vary.
The group's operations are mainly in the form of compiling stories on their forum, detailing encounters with paranormal phenomena, historical cases, and any unusual events users have experienced. While moderation has enabled a loose degree of coordination, further efforts are hindered by the sheer spread of the userbase. Any impact the site could have is limited. Several clusters of members are noted to collaborate in exploring forested regions of the United States and Canada, though they are relatively small in comparison to the full group.
WHAT IS THE SCP FOUNDATION?
The SCP foundation is a secretive organization that is dedicated to containing the anomalous (very very strange things).
Operating clandestine and worldwide, the Foundation operates beyond jurisdiction, empowered and entrusted by every major national government with the task of containing anomalous objects, entities, and phenomena. These anomalies pose a significant threat to global security by threatening either physical or psychological harm.
The Foundation operates to maintain normalcy, so that the worldwide civilian population can live and go on with their daily lives without fear, mistrust, or doubt in their personal beliefs, and to maintain human independence from extraterrestrial, extradimensional, and other extranormal influence.
