Notes:
What I learned from applying to over 2,500 jobs.
Get into the proper employee mind self. Get comfortable with being someone’s foot soldier
Game if numbers - the more you do the more chances you’ll have
Apply for jobs that you qualify for
If you want a job that you don’t qualify for then go get new skills
I need better skills
Job descriptions are the study guide
Pick an industry, profession, or business department that you’d like to work in
If you don’t have a particular interest then pick a resume outside of the exact job’s tasks:
Example:
Remote work
Amount paid
Location of job
Tailor your resume to that specific decision…
Take a job description and use it as a template for your resume
Be truthful yet describe your past in the most desirable way… with an agenda of course
Pick a single job board - LinkedIn
Consistently educate yourself and try to pick an education format or platform that allows you to publicly display your progress
Humble yourself and accept if you’ll need to take a stepping stone job in route to getting the one you want.
Stay positive
And if all else fails … become an entrepreneur
