SPEED ADDICTION is KILLING Classical Music
How many musicians, amateurs, professionals,... would either stop playing, get injured, or simply start to develop an hate-relationship with the instruments they play because of the avalanges of advice they get to never be satisfied and always keep trying to play faster. And faster. And faster. All in the (fake I would say) name of the composer and yes, all because of their... metronome marks. Those are the secret power around the corner, behind the door, never mentioned though, to justify this insane call and desire for inhuman speeds. Of course, as you know, when you change the reading of those metronome marks to how they originally were intended, they suddenly become human, step into the room and give every one of those musicians a pat on the shoulders, saying, well done, keep it up.
