Since ancient times, humanity has sought to create machines capable of imitating life. This video briefly explores the evolution of robots, from early automata in mythology and engineering, such as Talos, the mechanisms of Al-Jazari, Leonardo da Vinci's knight, and inspiration from watchmaking, to today's sophisticated systems.

We look at how the concept of the robot emerged with Karel Čapek's work R.U.R. and how Isaac Asimov redefined its role with the Three Laws of Robotics. We also review their impact on industry, science and culture, as well as the ethical challenges they pose today.
