GM Truck/SUV Alternator Troubleshoot and Replacement Highlights (5.3L)
Here is how I replaced the alternator in my 2007 Chevy Suburban with a 5.3L engine. This process will be similar for other GM vehicles (Chevy, GMC, Cadillac) that have a 5.3L engine such as the Tahoe, Silverado, Avalanche, Sierra, Yukon, Yukon XL, Denali, and Escalade.
