Pelé! (Genesis) Music - Match Results
I think this might be the most topical upload I've ever done...
So as you might be aware earlier today it was announced that the almighty Pelé had sadly passed away, after being in intensive care for quite a while now due to complications caused by a tumor that had appeared on his colon, and seeing all the news around and dedications posted online I was reminded of the games bearing his name, and how, despite the quality of them not being particularly great, even for the time, they still had some nice tunes, with this match results tune in particular coming to mind; it's a fairly relaxing-sounding tune, and rather apt as a send-off of sorts.
Now, I actually did consider uploading this and a few other assorted football game tunes somewhat recently in honor of Argentina's World Cup victory (I am argentinian, after all), but I completely forgot about it, and I guess now felt like an apt time to upload it, even if admittedly I'm kinda worried it feels like I'm taking advantage of the situation, but honestly I'm pretty sure there's someone out there doing that in a much worse and disrespectful manner, so whatever; please enjoy this nice tune from a game that should've been much better considering who it's named after.
My condolences to Pelé's family and friends, and may he rest in peace.
