El título hace referencia al arte de las espadas y describe las intensas luchas de tres de los mejores gladiadores del Imperio Romano que viven en esclavitud y se ven sometidos a luchar juntos cada día en la arena del gran Coliseo de Roma, enfrentándose a multitud de enemigos con el objetivo de lograr finalmente su libertad y salvar sus vidas.
La música tiene un carácter heroico, donde aparece un tema principal que simboliza a los tres gladiadores y que sirve de elemento fundamental para desarrollar todo el discurso musical en nuevas formas y estilos.

The title refers to the art of swords, describing the intense struggles of three of the Roman Empire’s best gladiators. Living in slavery, they are subjected to fight together every day in the arena of the great Colosseum of Rome, facing a multitude of enemies, with the aim of finally achieving their freedom and saving their lives.
The character of the music is heroic, where the main theme is symbolized by the three gladiators, which serves as a key element to develop the musical discourse in new forms and styles.
