The Supernatural Hour.... with Paranormal Expert Giuseppe DiMarco
Giuseppe DiMarco: Back in 2014, I was featured in Phenomena Magazine sharing some of the paranormal experiences I've had throughout my life. I've been encountering strange things since I was about six years old — starting with a transparent man on a bicycle who would ride alongside our car and wave at me, someone only I could see. As a kid I never told anyone because I didn't want them to think I was crazy. Over the years the experiences got more intense. I saw a headless apparition of a child with flames behind him that slowly dissolved right in front of me. One morning my dog Mia's face appeared completely distorted and demonic — it wasn't my dog anymore. And the scariest one happened in 2007 while I was working as a police officer in New Jersey. I was on a college campus and something took control of my legs near a rooftop ledge and kept trying to make me jump. That one stayed with me for years. Growing up in Wanaque, New Jersey — which is actually known for UFO sightings and is said to have an alleged vortex area — I think the environment played a role in shaping my connection to all of this. Those experiences are ultimately what led me to create Graveyard Shift TV, where I investigated the paranormal and tried to connect with others who've had similar encounters. Since then I've stepped away from active paranormal investigations. I believe that getting too deep into that world opened doors that led to some bad things happening in my life, and I made a conscious decision to pull back. These days I'm channeling all of that experience and those stories into my screenwriting. I've written feature screenplays across horror, sci-fi, thriller, drama, and comedy — and I think everything I lived through gives my writing a level of authenticity that you can't make up.
