Slim 2xxx - models with a DATE CODE up to and including 0D, i.e., December 2010 and earlier, as well as some 1A and 1B models (cex & dex).
In general, the exploit will automatically detect your model and prevent you from installing the patch if your console is not flashable.
The flashability indicator is displayed here (the words "CFW Compatible PS3").
1. Install the same firmware version you currently have (OFW or HFW) twice, using step 6 of RECOVER.
Network Settings ⇒ Connect to Media Server - Disable.
3. Go to Settings ⇒ Date and Time Settings ⇒ Set Time via Internet.
4. Remove all connected devices from the USB ports.
5. Configure the internet connection.
