There are many student-athletes who aren't familiar enough with the recruiting process to know when they are actually being recruited! The recruiting process has a lot of complicated information so it's important to recognize this early in your recruiting process.
Many athletes and their families mistake receiving mailed information from colleges as part of the recruiting process. When you get a letter from a coach, it doesn't necessarily mean they 're actively recruiting you. There are hundreds of other athletes getting the same letter from the same coach, so don't let yourself get left behind.
A more accurate sign that you're getting recruited is a personal call or email from a college coach.
When a college coach offers an official visit to their school this is another good sign that they're interested in you and want you to see what they have to offer. It is important if you haven't already started talking to coaches that you start being proactive and get the process started.
