ZDE - Episode 8 - Hungary
Haha, loooooovvvveeee the way this one turned out. Budapest was one of our favourite stops, and as Laura put it "One of the only places that I didn't feel we had enough time in". She's right, the city was beautiful, and full to the brim with castles and subtle beauty (also giant slides). I feel that the flow of this video is a lot better than previous ones, not too much rambling on my part, and overall the episode doesn't 'overstay it's welcome'. I'm especially pleased with the bit where we see cheering crowds after Laura dismounts from the slide. In case you were wondering, the footage is actually from the world's reaction to Obama's election. Two small things that I should mention. The dialogue/background music is sometimes a little unbalanced, but I fiddled with it for a while and finally gave up due to laziness. Also there's a fairly lengthy photo montage near the beginning. I initially tried to avoid these, seeing as Zeeblog is a cinematographic medium, however I caved in due to lack of useable footage (and more of the song left to fill) and was surprisingly impressed with the result. Any thoughts on this? I also used a few photos in the Romania video, and it seemed to work. Anyway, this description is now WAY too long =/ Over and out!
