In Both of the cases the money stays in Your own ByBit account, however it does still have the risks involved. Cryptocurrency is risky, Especially if You don´t know what You are doing. Bots can trade You profit and it can trade You loss. When Setting up your API connection, then make sure you don´t give Any bots ever to make permission to withdraw the funds. And if someone is asking that, then It might be a scam and You should stay away.
