Recreating Pointillism Effect in Photoshop
Hello Everyone! Today, we are going to recreate Pointillism Effect, which is a technique of painting in small, distinct dots of color to form an image. This technique was developed by Georges Seurat, a French post-Impressionist artist, in his paintings, one of the famous ones like "A Sunday Afternoon on the Island of La Grande Jatte." I am using this promotional image of the TV series "The Office" wherein they recreated this painting. Pointillism is a technique that relies on the ability of the eye and mind of the viewer to blend the color spots into a fuller range of tones. It took nearly 3 years for Seurat to complete his painting, but today we are going to recreate the same effect using the old-school pointilism filter in Photoshop within 5 minutes.
