It's been many years since Eygil last walked these hallowed halls. However, memories forged in such a cataclysm are not easily broken. Each step though his shattered home is another twist of the knife that is guilt. Eygil is the very reason for this loss and destruction. His olden king may have ordered him to make the Demons of Iron, but it was by Eygil's own hand that they were crafted. The flames of their creation would be forever burned into his mind, and the wound now seared with the orange glow that had come to pervade the Old Iron Keep.

Dark Souls 2 has been an amazing game that I have had plenty of great experiences with. Now, it's time to Let's Play Dark Souls 2 with a twist! I'll be using the First Person mod that was created for Dark Souls 2 by Benzoin-Gum.
http://goo.gl/CHq3T1
It is designed to lock the camera into the zoomed mode of the binoculars or bows and also boosts the Field of View so that you can have a better first person experience. This not only changes the camera sensitivity and location, but also how locking on works. Locking on will no longer draw my camera toward my target, meaning that proper camera management will be an absolute imperative if I'm going to pull this Playthrough off successfully.

A similar mod was created for Dark Souls 1 and it can be found here:

However it experienced certain difficulties that made it unviable for an audience. Namely, rolls would take the camera with them and completely discombobulate the player and viewer. These issues have all been shorn up in Dark Souls 2, so now the responsibility rests firmly on my shoulders. I know it will be possible, but many trials and tribulations await me as I explore this wonderful and game-changing mod for you all.

The main difficulties of the Dark Souls 2 First Person Mod will be managing my spacing in combat and for jumping. Withe the First Person Mod, you cannot look ahead and watch your feet at the same time, greatly limiting your ability to judge distances and align attack or jumps. This is compounded by the different perspective you're forced to fight in and the change in scale from the base game. Hopefully this new level of challenge and adversity will make for even better watching as I struggle to manage one more aspect of the game while I fight for my life.

In addition to the complex dynamic presented by the First Person mod, I'll also be exploring the character of Eygil the Sorcerer. My first two Dark Souls 2 Let's Play characters each managed to relate extremely well to a specific DLC setting, so Eygil was made to fit in with the final DLC. This will complete the trifecta and be a comprehensive final look into Dark Souls 2.

The Dark Souls 2 First Person Mod is available for any and all to use and can be found here:

This First Person Mod does involve the use of Cheat Engine, so you may want to take that into consideration before you use it. Dark Souls 2 is no longer VAC secured, so the chances of being banned for using a third-party mod are small, but From Software themselves have been reported to have banned a small portion of users, so please understand that you are using this mod at your own risk.

Cheat Engine itself is a remarkably easy to use program that can be downloaded for free at its very own site:

It does not actually modify the game files themself, so you don't need to worry about your game becoming corrupted. Rather, it works by intercepting the code and injecting the modifications as it runs through your computer, effectively accomplishing the same goal with much less risk. You can find a tutorial for its usage here:
