ONYAT'A:KA Oneida Pride
This song was written with students at Standing Stone School from Oneida Nation of the Thames. It was at the end of a week full of filmmaking, songwriting and slam poetry.
On Friday afternoon just before the end of the day, I commandeered the school PA system and started playing the song over the intercom. The students all poured out of their classrooms and we had this awesome impromptu jam session in the hallway!
