When they met over 30 years ago, they were doing what they both love: serving God’s
people. What is now a fruitful, prosperous marriage ministry started long before The Franklins
even said, “I do.” Featured on TBN’s Praise the Lord and radio appearances on Worldwide Core
Radio, WHFR 89.3 and WNUC, Ministers Ron and LaShun Franklin have transformed couples’
lives across the nation through their transparent, down-to-earth way of delivering God’s
Word—catapulting them into their God-given destiny.
After meeting and falling in love during their service in a community choir, they were
appointed leaders over the youth ministry at their church. Because of their passion and unfailing
love for children, they not only touched the hearts of little ones—they transformed whole
families. By 2003, their compassion for couples, their commitment to the sanctity of marriage,
and their desire to deliver ministry in truth and freedom, Songs of Solomon Marriage Ministries
was birthed. Songs of Solomon provides married couples with marriage tune-ups, weekend
retreats, resources and—more importantly—spiritual accountability partners for life.
While it may come natural for couples to treat marriage like a contract or business
transaction, The Franklins’ message is loud and clear: Marriage is a covenant. Through Biblical
sound teaching, role playing and the 10-week course, Marriage Bootcamp, they were on a
mission to serve notice to married couples—young and old—that divorce is not an option.
In 2016, the ministry evolved and took flight as they formed the Song of Solomon
Relationship Institute, which serves individuals, couples, families and institutions world-wide in
the arena of developing and maintaining healthy relationships. SOS has served over 1300
couples and countless others through their ministry and media presence.
As licensed ministers of the Gospel, certified marriage educators, and certified Biblical
counselors, they’re committed to traveling around the world to encourage couples to realize that
their stumbling blocks are not a reason to head to divorce court. It’s a reason to grow closer to
God, using those bricks as building blocks to great marital success in the Kingdom.
