In this video Melissa Cain Travis is interviewed by Melanie Cogdill, on our comprehensible fundamentally mathematical universe, and the history of the use of mathematics to better understand how the universe operates. She also discusses a couple of very popular Atheist objections. These excerpts originated from the Postmodern Realities Podcast episode 062: How The Structure And Comprehensibility Of The Universe Reveal A Mindful Maker. I personally put together this video for the podcast interview excerpts, with the utmost respect for Melissa Cain Travis and Melanie Cogdill. If you are interested in learning more on this subject, I recommend her 2018 book: Science And The Mind Of The Maker. Atheist Thomas Nagel's book: Mind And Cosmos - Why The Materialist Neo-Darwinian Conception Of Nature Is Almost Certainly False, is another book I would recommend. (Thomas Nagel was a University Professor of Philosophy and Law Emeritus at New York University, from 1980 to 2016.)
Bio: Melissa Cain Travis earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Campbell University, and worked as a bench scientist in the fields of biotechnology and pharmaceutical research for five years, after obtaining her undergraduate degree. She has spent over a decade studying the science, theology, and philosophy pertaining to the origins debate. She earned a Master of Arts in Science and Religion from Biola University, graduating with highest honors. She recently earned her PhD in Humanities from Faulkner University - her research focusing on the history and philosophy of science and the historical interaction of science and theology. She also serves on the contributing writers team for The Christian Research Journal. The author of four books in the children's Young Defenders Apologetics storybook series and, more recently, Science And The Mind Of The Maker, she is dedicated to exploring the science, theology, and philosophy behind the origins debate.
As noted above, Melissa also serves on the contributing writers team for The Christian Research Journal. Having been a subscriber to The Christian Research Journal for several years now, I can personally attest to its value, in keeping Christians, (and those interested in learning more about contemporary Christianity), on top of current issues that relate to the Christian worldview.
