Hello! Today I decided to talk about retinopathy of premature infants - our case and, in principle, about some warnings. Well, here I can record such a video. Maybe it will help save someone’s vision: or at least improve it, or even save it, because sometimes people just don’t know this and get into serious situations.
Accordingly, retinopathy is premature. Look, I will first tell you a little about the stages of this disease, and then I will tell you what it is all about. It will be a little out of order, I just wrote so badly, I can skip it. It means that five stages are distinguished, but I can say right away that the first three are relatively safe, the 4th is oh, oh, the 5th is really awful, horror. You know, I can say this: if you have - either you or your acquaintances - a premature baby, of course, do not be afraid of this phrase: oh, no, why do you say that, pah-pah-pah - we understand What are we talking about, this is statistics, they will be born, this is normal, in principle, this is life. That is, if it’s just you or your friends who encounter this, they put, for example, the first degree, the second degree - you still need to keep an eye on it, this is a serious thing. And of course, if you hear the phrase “back aggressive retinopathy” - this is what we had - here it’s just necessary to understand: it doesn’t matter which stage, most likely, it will be higher - you just have to run and something is urgent do.
So, look, now about what, in fact, this is, let's give a little context. So I used to think that premature babies are just like a baby, only a smaller one, it’s just less - I don’t know - it weighs less, maybe less, and so on ... eats less. In fact, this is fundamentally wrong. A premature baby is like a different creature, it has a different organism, it works differently. This organism should not be where it is. He, for example ... Why did they all ... Here they used to tell me: - "Oh, don’t worry, they carry 500 grams." But I looked at how we had 900, yes - how he was hatched, what situations he faced. I imagine that there with 500, as the guys rake.
Well, nevertheless, that is, what’s the essence: here’s the child, he’s like, using the example of the lungs, yes, as they explained to me: here we, adults, breathe easy. In our country, if you take a tree, the leaves are loose, we breathe in the leaves, and when they are born much earlier than they should, their lungs are not ready yet. They breathe unopened kidneys, which is why they are given concentrated oxygen, and so on. And there are a lot of such aspects. One of these aspects is vision, that is, the eye of a premature baby should not be outside the womb. That is, they, in principle, these guys at the beginning of life, many are simply forced to live, just shove forward. They say: - “No, guys, I don’t want, no, no, no, I won’t, that is, leave, but they just take them like that and drag them, respectively, pull them out. And then yes, then they show interest, as it were already ...
This means that, in fact, with vision it is not so, what is retinopathy of the premature at all. Retinopathy is, roughly speaking, retinal detachment. Why is she going on? Because - there are a lot of factors, it is interesting that one of these factors is oxygen, which is supplied so that the child simply survives. That is, the same oxygen harms the eye, can destroy vision, imagine, right? But this cannot be avoided, unfortunately, because oxygen must still be supplied, otherwise there will simply be no child, no eyes, yes, that is. Accordingly, this situation in which it happens - how to say, here is the retina (can you imagine, huh?), And so if you put an eye on top of it, like a ball, on a ball, on top of a rag, right? This is the retina. And there, behind, it is shrouded: many, many vessels, and with retinopathy, they begin to grow excessively, and gradually they begin to contract, contract, contract, and somewhere these scars, that is, very dense tissue, begin to form directly. And now this thing starts to lift up, lift up, lift up, that is, they all grow, grow, grow, and as if the retina, roughly speaking, if you pull, yes, for this rag, it will peel, peel, peel and flies, say, well, at the 5th stage, yes, there.
So, in fact, what is usually done with this, as it were, as it happens in the hospital, why do I write this video. When - you need to understand the general situation - when your child is likely to be there in intensive care, yes, since he is premature, then he gets ... well, well, there they fight for him, they just fight, well, they just save Total. ...
